1.What is the speech about?
His speech was about African rights and racism. How he fought against white dominance and how African people didn’t have the same laws and things as white people.
2. Who is saying the speech?
Nelson Mandela was a South African activist who was also a former president.
3. When did the speech happen?
He said it on the April 20th 1964 soon after Martin Luther King Jr said his speech.
4. Why did Mandela have this speech?
He said this speech to fight for African rights and racism as he was willing to give up his life for the rights of African people and equality worldwide. He dreams of a democratic and free society in which all persons will live together in harmony and with equal opportunities.
5. How did Mandela deliver this speech?
He delivered it boldly and strongly stating his points like how poverty can contribute to malnutrition and disease. He also mentioned “I am prepared to die” in order to realise equality in his speech.
