Belonging

The poem is mainly about bike members and gang members. It was written in the 1950s when there were groups of rebellious youth, otherwise known as the 'teddy boys'. Below you can see a group of rebellious youth at the time.

Write your own creative story which revolves around the theme of belonging. Your character may suffer from a lack of belonging or find a sense of belonging in an unexpected place. Your character may be based on historical communities, or it can be fictional. Remember to dress up your writing with imagery, and figurative language to evoke emotional responses in the reader.
