For a poor boy named Carl, the road to fame and fortune required perseverance and passion. It was a road only an individual with extraordinary bravery could dare to cross. The road came with challenges, roadblocks and losses and could outplay any simple gentleman. Rarely will any outlandish fool be able to stumble across an opportunity to access the grueling road.
Unfortunately, born into a meagre family, the young aspiring teenager wasn’t able to have a proper education. He did not give up despite his poor circumstances. Instead, he was self-taught but rapidly acquired skills to attain his dream of becoming an inventor. His parents had always believed in him but still felt unhopeful since they were not very wealthy. Still, a glimmer of light wandered around Carl’s tunnel of hope. He persevered and strived to cross the road to fame and fortune with his first major breakthrough. He patented a new mode of transportation.
It felt as if he was touching this glimmer of hope and he called his creation a car. He then started to manufacture it and made a large amount of sales until competitors rose. Carl was still on top of the market until Henry Ford started to dominate and take over the car market. Henry’s Model T was a tough competitor and it ruined Carl’s sales.
It was going downhill for a decade but he never gave up. He made the 770. The 770 was grand, beautiful and extremely luxurious which made sales boom! His company known as Mercedes Benz grew exponentially to become synonymous with luxury, reliability and innovation. He was officially touching this light of success and he was well known around the world!
Selling cars in North and South America, Australia, Europe and Asia, Carl was crossing this road he dreamed of. Sheer bravery defined Carl. He pushed through the gas crisis and fought through many rough times to attain his dreams and surpass his competitors. Before his death at age 84, Carl created the 280SE. Today, he leaves behind an inspiring legacy and an esteemed car brand with over 140 years of history.
