Graffiti and art go hand in hand like construction and trucks. Graffiti is actually just a subdivision of art which involves the meticulous and imaginative process of painting on a wall. These paintings, which come in a kaleidoscope of spectacular colours, can carry influential or inspirational messages to leave lifelong positive impacts on complete strangers. Graffiti has the potential to imply a sensational message about politics, religion and music just like any normal artwork. There are a plethora of reasons why graffiti should be understood as art!

Starting off, graffiti can be influential or inspirational just like art! Graffiti can have hidden messages which can uplift a person's spirits immediately or raise awareness about an important political issue! It can also be highly aesthetic, beautifying the scenery around us. It could motivate us quietly, sending messages about love to make our surroundings look like an adventure. Just as paintings can have a deep meaning by creating a setting, graffiti transforms the environment and our imagination.
Continuing on, graffiti artists need to practise the same skills and concepts as painters! Graffiti is practically a subdivision of art which requires a thorough understanding of shading, blending, outlining and colour theory. The only difference is that the graffitist must manipulate the spray paint. Hence, the practice of graffiti is no different to doodling, graffiti and painting!
Finally, graffiti demands talent, creativity and skill just like art! Art can take years to decades to master and an incredible attention to detail just like graffiti! You need to consider the length, thickness and direction the line and strokes must go and the colour palette. Given the consideration of these endless factors, it is clear that graffiti is equivalent to art!
While in debate, graffiti is certainly a type of art! It takes time, skill, and creativity to know how to draw graffiti just like art. It can be influential, inspirational and understandable.
